The path will be mastered by the walking one

After his preparations to fight Tyson Fury for the undisputed world heavyweight belt were hindered, Joshua was compelled to turn to Usyk.

It was originally slated for August 14, the same date Joshua was expected to fight Fury before a US judge ordered that Fury would have to fight Deontay Wilder alternatively, Joshua chose to take two weeks off training to focus on Usyk, hence a later date was arranged.

Anthony Joshua also talked about the upcoming match with Oleksandr Usyk. He made it known, how special the match will be for him, as it will give him an avenue to defend his crown.

The date is set and we are fully locked in. September 25, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, I put it all on the line again and it’s time to defend my crown.

We are two Olympic Gold medallists who have fought our way to the top and never avoided challenges.

The stadium is exceptional, the atmosphere will be electric, I’m honoured to be the first person to fight in such an awe-inspiring venue.

The stage is set and I am ready to handle business.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which opened in 2019, will be utilized for the first time for boxing.

Joshua’s defense against Kubrat Pulev was set to take place there in the summer of 2020, but it was suspended because of the virus Outbreak.
