Brazil Coronavirus cases surge 39,637 coronavirus cases and 873 COVID deaths in 24 hours

The figures indicate a decline in the rate of deaths reported over the weekend. Brazil is recording over 1,800 deaths per day on a continuous seven-day average

According to the ministry of health, in Brazil, coronavirus cases have seen an upsurge as there have been 39,637 new cases of the novel coronavirus recorded in Brazil in the last 24 hours, with 873 deaths from COVID-19.

The figures indicate a decline in the rate of deaths reported over the weekend. Brazil is recording over 1,800 deaths per day on a continuous seven-day average.

As per ministry data, the South American country has already reported 16,947,062 cases since the outbreak began, with an official number of fatalities of 473,404, making it the world’s third-worst and second-deadliest outbreak outside of the United States and India.
