Eriksen fell to the ground without any teammates around him soon before halftime, bringing the game to a halt.
The game was abruptly stopped as referee Anthony Taylor blew his whistle. Denmark and Finland promptly alerted medical personnel, who hurried onto the field to provide care.
While the medics treated him, his Danish teammates created a shield around him, and white sheets were draped around him to provide privacy.
The match was delayed after several minutes of on-field treatment, according to UEFA. Just over an hour later, the European governing body said that the match would be resumed after a request from both teams’ players.
