On Monday morning, Jose Mourinho was sacked as manager of Tottenham Hotspur.
Mourinho superseded Mauricio Pochettino as manager of the Premier League club in November 2019.
The former Chelsea and Manchester United manager had already agreed to a contract that will run until the end of the 2023 season.
Mourinho did lead Spurs from 14th place in the Premier League to sixth place and Europa League qualification in his first season.
According to Optajoe, José Mourinho has lost more games in all competitions in 2020-21 than he has in any other season in his managerial career.
RB Leipzig, on the other hand, knocked them out of the Champions League in the last-16 stage.
Spurs are currently seventh in the table, five points behind Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final, which takes place on Sunday.
The news of Mourinho’s sack has caused so much stir on the internet most especially on the micro-blogging Twitter app, with football fans all around the world giving their notions on the sack of the former Real Madrid’s coach.
Jose Mourinho, however, has won at least a trophy for all the clubs he had managed, but in adverse, Tottenham is the only club that Mourinho had managed without a trophy.
Tottenham’s striker, Harry Kane, however, took to his Twitter page to thank Mourinho as he stated that it has been a pleasure working together and wished him all the best of luck.
