Kim Jong-un bans Skinny jeans and Mullets in North Korea

Out of the fear that the western culture might influence the country's youth under his regime, the leader banned skinny jeans and mullets with immediate effect

North Korea leader Kim jong-un in the new report had reportedly banned Skinny jeans, mullets, and certain hairstyles in the country, out of fear that the fashions will indeed promote capitalistic tendencies among the country’s youth.

North Korean newspaper Rodong Sinmun which is owned by the ruling Worker’s Party wrote

History teaches us a crucial lesson that a country can become vulnerable and eventually collapse like a damp wall regardless of its economic and defence power if we do not hold on to our own lifestyle.

We must be wary of even the slightest sign of the capitalistic lifestyle and fight to get rid of them

Those who constantly refuse to follow Kim Jong-un’s fashion laws, which include a ban on colorfully dyed or spiked up hair and piercings, would be sent to forced labor camps.
Together with the mullet, other haircuts such as spiked or dyed hair have been effectively banned in the totalitarian state, with just 15 “proper” cuts being authorized.

North Koreans will also be disallowed from wearing ripped jeans, having nose or ear piercings, or wearing slogan T-shirts.
