Sunday Igboho reportedly arrested in Cotonou

Recall that the Department of State Services (DSS) lately pronounced Igboho wanted for purportedly undermining the country's corporate stability

Sunday Adeyemo, also identified as Sunday Igboho, a Yoruba nation activist, has been arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic.

A source disclosed to us that he was apprehended by security forces at an airport in Cotonou, Benin Republic, on Monday night.

Recall that the Department of State Services (DSS) lately pronounced Igboho wanted for purportedly undermining the country’s corporate stability.

Sunday Igboho was arrested by Benin Republic security forces three weeks after the Department of State Services labeled him wanted for unlawfully accumulating weapons, an assertion he has since refuted.

As per a source who spoke to The PUNCH, Igboho might be deported to Nigeria on Tuesday (today) from Benin Republic, one of Nigeria’s West African neighbors.

We earlier reported that the Department of State Security Service raided Sunday Igboho’s house on July 1, 2021, which led to the death of two of his boys, and the apprehension of many. Igboho, however, was fortunate to escape the raid.
